THE DISPENSARY a.k.a. POT STAR$The legalization of marijuana is one of the most controversial topics of our time. Now, the fascinating world of the medical marijuana business is revealed in the new 30-minute personality-driven series, POT STAR$ aka THE DISPENSARY.
Each episode takes viewers inside the doors of GreenCure, a medical marijuana dispensary in Venice, CA where Brian Swink and his hip, young, knowledgeable staff tend to an array of quirky characters attempting to buy, sell, trade and get medicated. The staff amusingly clashes with each other, patients and authorities while running the business together. The owner and staff have inhaled the medical marijuana business using their sharp eyed skills to carefully assess each patients needs and the value of the medicine and other colorful offers and stories patients bring in ranging from the realistic to the ridiculous. Brian Swink is the owner and big brother-like boss who deals with the ironic stress of the marijuana business. Ryan "Big Juicy" is the 21-year old bud tender, manager and outrageous character that the viewers will follow for the true entertainment value. Educated and attractive female bud tender, Claire and security guard David round out this cast of characters. There isn't much these guys haven't seen or heard, inevitably making them experts in medical marijuana.

Ambitious Films is a Los Angeles based production company credited with producing commercials, music videos and the feature films. Series creator David Katz and producer Nancy Lopez recently completed the romantic comedy Kissing Strangers.
